I discovered my interest in college over 8 years ago when I decided as a Freshman to join the intramural golf team. The "good ole boys" vibe of the team and unwelcoming atmosphere for beginners and women was enough to turn me off to the experience. After college, I would pick up learning the game and visit the driving range for fun when I had time, but I didn't pursue it consistently. I'm athletic and played Basketball and Cheerleading in school, and I find joy in the game as a lifelong sport.
In the last two years I've played a few rounds during the season while also learning the official USGA rules. In law school I formed Ladies on the Green at Southern University Law Center for female students to take lessons, practice at the driving range, and enjoy a drink in the clubhouse afterward!
I currently have 9 trusty clubs (a.k.a "my kids") in my bag and enjoy coordinating my outfits and accessories together for a chic ensemble!
Look good, feel good...right?!
